Gadget Gals
Who are the Gadget Gals?
Totally wired Diane Kendall, Editor of the Children's Software Press; Mary Anne Mather, Program Planning Specialist, Educational Technologies, The Education Alliance at Brown University; and Dr. Merle Marsh, Director of Special Projects at Worcester Preparatory School.
Kendall, Mather, and Marsh were among the early leaders in educational
technology and directed some of the initial online projects that connected students of different nations. Their backgrounds include managing online educational areas for Apple Computer; writing books, brochures, and articles about technology for parents and kids; giving talks throughout the world; doing television and radio interviews for Microsoft and Knowledge Adventure; doing videos for Apple and Microsoft; and serving as consultants and writers for organizations such as the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum, Random House/American Schools Publishers, NASA, Computer Learning Foundation, and the Children's Television Workshop.
Here at Power to Learn they'll gear up their folding keyboards, tiny
pedometers, and personal global positioning systems as they bring parents and kids, what only our Gadget Gals can, the lowdown on all those wonderful whatyoumacallits. |
