Q: How does it feel to be a role model for aspiring female athletes? - Lance, 12th Grade, from New York City
A: Great, awesome. When I was growing up in Southern California I always saw huge male athletes. I wanted to be like them. Now it's so nice to see kids come to the games and think it's realistic for them to play in any of these professional women's sports like the WNBA, WTA, LPGA, and Softball. It's a wonderful opportunity to watch a role model you can emulate.

Q: What role do you feel women will be playing in the world of sports in the future? - Lance, 12th Grade, from New York City
A: Professional sports will shape our culture. It would be great to see kids walking around with women's professional sports jerseys like a Mia Hamm jersey. It's great to see other women's sports have the longevity that the LPGA or WTA, founded by Billie Jean King, has had.

Q: How do you feel sports strengthen or weaken a young girl's self esteem and social skills? - Carina, 12th Grade, from New York City
A: Sports is the best thing ever. It's a confidence builder - it gives you an outlet. Sports helps you adapt to a team environment and a pressure environment. I can walk into a room filled with people and feel confident to speak to them because of my sports - it has built my confidence.

Q: What advice would you offer to young girls interested in pursuing a career in professional sports? - Leanne, 12th Grade, from New York City
A: Enjoy whatever it is you go into - sports, art, writing...You will be successful if you have a passion for something. It sometimes takes time to find your passion but once you find it you will be successful.

Q: What are your hopes for the future of women in sports? - Leanne, 12th Grade, from New York City
A: Someday we won't have to have a Title IX. Someday women's sports will be the norm rather then an anomaly. It shouldn't be big news when a woman gets a job as the president of a large University.
