Senator Kenneth P. LaValle hosted his fourth annual "Family Day" at the gymnasium at the Suffolk County Community College campus in Selden on Saturday, November 5, 2005 from 9 am to 1 pm.

This free event featured over 80 exhibitors including, health screenings, child fingerprinting, on site DMV services, a petting zoo, safety demonstrations, refreshments and door prizes.

Power to Learn distributed materials on Internet Smarts, an online forum for parents and teachers to work with children to understand which online behaviors and practices are safe and appropriate and which are not.
