Alumni - Former Knicks players.
Basketball Camps - Camps run by the team, where kids can spend part of their summer learning basketball skill from former players and coaches.
Digital Photography Database - A way of organizing and storing digital photographs in one location so that they are easy to find by name or by subject.
Fan Base - The community of all dedicated fans of the team, who watch games on television, listen on radio and/or buy tickets.
HTML - Hypertext Markup Language. This is computer coding used to post information on a website, such as the Knicks official team site.
In-Game Videos - Specially made videos, designed for the fans, that play on the scoreboard's Diamond Vision screens between quarters and during stoppages in play, such as time outs.
Pre-Game Shoot Around - Both teams take the court just prior to the game and have a short practice which typically includes taking lay-ups followed by some outside shooting.
Marketing and Promotional Words
Branding - A means of creating instant identification for what you are trying to sell. In this case, the marketing department is trying to sell the Knicks to the public, or the idea of buying tickets to see them play.
Community Relations - Activities and events by the Knicks organization designed to help the people of the community (New York City) and, in the process, spread the word about the team.
Field Marketing - Marketing done outside of the arena. Field marketing ties in with the organization's goal of helping the community while promoting the team.
Game Night Staff - A team of workers who coordinate and execute many of the activities that go on around each home game, such as running contests and handing out promotional items.
Gameday Promotions - Special giveaways, contests or other ways of promoting a product before or during the game.
Marketing Partnerships - Agreements between the Knicks organization and specific companies to promote both the team and the product.
Player Appearances - To help promote the team, players may appear at various locations around the city to meet fans, sign autographs or take part in a promotional activity.
Press Releases - A written announcement of team news, which is given to the media in hopes of making it into newspaper or magazine stories, or onto television or radio sports reports.
