Connecticut - 6th Graders at Helen Keller Middle School in Easton, CT earn Internet Smarts Certification through their presentations.
October 23, 2008


Three groups of sixth graders, under the tutelage of Carol Weinshel, Helen Keller Middle School's Director of Learning Resources and Technology, presented PowerPoints based on several Internet Smarts case studies to the remainder of the 6th grade class as well as visiting officials from Cablevision and CT State Senator John McKinney. The students' presentations were based on Internet Smarts case studies they had researched prior to the event.

"In today's digital world, it is vital that all children are knowledgeable about Internet safety," noted Senator McKinney.
