New Rochelle, NY, December 9, 2011 - MSG Varsity and Power to Learn recognized students at Thornton-Donovan School for participating in this year's Charity Champions program from Power to Learn that promotes volunteerism and encourages area high schools to raise funds for a charity of their choice.  The students chose HOPE Community Services, which provides necessary assistance to the needy of New Rochelle, NY. It has been recommended as the class of local food pantries and it provides many opportunities for T-D students to volunteer. In coordinating with HOPE Director Carole Troum, it is clear how hard she works to provide for those who cannot provide for themselves.

The school was presented with $1,000 to be donated to HOPE and also received a donation of $500 to continue their charitable activities.
