Long Island - LEAP Club Members At Comsewogue High School Present On Personal Finance And Economics For Financial Literacy Month With Congressman Tim Bishop And Other Special Guests

Port Jefferson Station, NY, April 30, 2012.  Recognizing the importance of financial literacy, members of Cablevision's Power to Learn were joined by students at Comsewogue High School for a presentation on personal finance and economics.  Also participating in the program were Congressman Tim Bishop and CNBC Senior Commodities Correspondent and. via phone in a live Q&A, Personal Finance Correspondent Sharon Epperson.

Student members of the LEAP (Leading and Empowering to Achieve your Potential) Club made their presentations on personal finance after welcome remarks by their special guests and teacher.  They then participated in the Q&A with CNBC financial expert Epperson. Following the call, students also held a Q&A session with Teachers Federal Credit Union representative Jennifer Gunn and Congressman Bishop.

"In today's economy, it's essential that we provide young people with the necessary tools and information on fiscal responsibility so that they can make sound financial decisions and plan for their future," said Rep. Bishop.  "Today's program from Cablevision's Power to Learn and CNBC brought these topics to life in a unique and relevant way."
