* Family Contract for Internet Use
I, *, no matter where I am, will,:
- not give out any personal information online about me or anyone I know. This includes names, photographs, passwords, addresses, phone numbers, schools, email addresses, IM addresses, or any other personal information that may identify me or others I know.
- use the Internet only at the following times:

- not engage in Instant Messaging unless my parents give their permission. If they give their permission, I will never engage in sending instant messages with anyone I met online.
- will not enter any chat room, contribute to a discussion board or join in on a blog without my parents' permission.
- talk to my parents about anyone or anything online that makes me feel uneasy or threatened.
- will not plan to or meet anyone I've met online without my parents' permission and without being accompanied by one of my parents.
- not respond to email, instant messages, or web questions/questionnaires that ask for personal information or include threatening or other inappropriate content.
- never open email attachments sent by people or organizations I do not know.
- talk with my parents about what I am doing on the Internet.
- follow the rules of the sites I visit.
- remember that manners count online just like they do everywhere else. This means that I realize that I am responsible for what I send through email or instant messages, load onto the Internet, say in chat rooms, etc.
- not visit sites that contain information that I know my parents would not approve of. (Discuss sites that contain content that includes inappropriate language, sexually explicit material, or violence.)
- understand that if I break this contract that I will not be allowed to use the Internet for (set the time.)
