Built in 1921, this was the second largest private home in the United States (the largest being the Hearst Castle in California). It is located in Woodbury, one mile off Jericho Turnpike. This 500 acre estate has 126 rooms. The entrance is surrounded by red cedar that brings you to a paved cobblestone courtyard. It has a dining room that can seat over 200 guests. There were 126 servants that kept the breathtaking garden in good condition, so the residents could play crochet and a game of 9 hole golf. Around the garden, there are also an endless row of greenhouses.
