Direct your students to the Knicks & Liberty Postcard Club at www.powertolearn.com. |
| |
 |
There they can select the book that corresponds to their favorite Knicks or Liberty player. By clicking on the book's title, the student will generate a printable pop-up window with the information about the book that they will need to get it from a school or local library. |
| |
 |
After they have completed the book, the student returns to www.powertolearn.com to take a short multiple-choice reading comprehension quiz. If the child passes (65% or greater) they will be invited to immediately print out a personalized postcard from the player who corresponds to the book. |

Three children's books are animated online, with readings and/or introductions by a variety of players and Spike Lee. Students love to see their favorite Knicks players read aloud to them, and they can also read along with the narrator in the captioned version. |

Corresponding lesson plans tied to NY, NJ, CT and NYC standards are also available. |
