How long did it take you to learn how to control the puck so well? - Victor, New Jersey I started practicing at a very young age. It's something you can work on when you are on the ice and also in the summer playing on the street as well.
How many gold medals have you won? - Donny, 3rd Grader, New Jersey I won the gold medal with the Czech National Team at the 1998 Olympic in Nagano.
What is it like to be in the Olympics and on the New York Rangers? - Sean, 7th Grader, New Jersey The Olympics are very different. It's a short tournament with a lot of games in a short amount of days. There is really no time to practice and with single game elimination, anything can happen. I love being in New York and love playing for the Rangers. I am looking forward to getting back and competing in the playoffs.
Were you nervous when you first heard you would be in the Olympics? - Messillah, 5th Grader, New York City I was probably not nervous because I was able to play in the Olympics in 1998 in Nagano. It is a great honor and it is a lot of pressure, but I wouldn't say I was nervous.
What does it feel like to play against your NHL teamates in the Olympics and did you spend time with them in Italy? - Billy, Long Island You barely get to see them or even see the games they play in. We play so many games in such a short time, all you do is play and sleep. I don't really like playing against my teammates - except Kaspar!
Did you ever play street hockey? - Joe, 5th Grader, Connecticut I have played, but it is not as popular in our country.
How does it feel to shoot on a Lundquist? - Jason, 7th Grader, New York City He's a very good goalie, so of course it's hard to score on him.
Hi Jaromir, I am a big fan of the RANGERS. Here is my question to you. What made you want to play with the Rangers? Hope you answer soon. Your BIG fan Amanda - Amanda, 4th Grader, Long Island I just love the fans and the energy everytime we played in New York. There are a lot of similarities to our country in New York.
Do you think you did well during the Olympics? How does it feel to win the Bronze medal? And to be in the lead in most points in the NHL? And most goals? - Danny, Long Island Of course we are disappointed we didn't win the gold. I am really not worried about leading in goals or points - I just want to keep helping the team win. That is most important to me.
How did you learn how to skate? Who taught you? GO RANGERS! - Shaun, 7th Grader, New York City I learned a lot from my father. He was always teaching me and helping me improve.
