How can I stay safe while I play outside this Winter?
Answer: Some of the sports people enjoy in Winter, including skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and ice skating can be dangerous. Make sure you wear the right gear and that your equipment is in good working order. And always follow signs posted at skiing and skating areas. Even cold weather itself can be very dangerous if you aren't properly dressed for it. Both people long ago and people today also wore more clothes in Winter. Today we have man-made materials that are much warmer and yet thinner than people had in the past, but we still layer them for going out in the snow.
